According to witnesses, the shooting took place around 7:20 p.m. in the area of a basketball court on MLK Drive, which is next to the back of the D.A. Jordan Sports Complex.
That is where the Marksville Little League holds their games. From witnesses at the scene, they say people hit the ground and children were crying. Marksville Little League President Torrick Friels said no one at the baseball field was injured. He said there was a Marksville police officer at the ballpark who saw what happened, and moments later, police had stopped a car on Highway 1 in Marksville.

Six individuals were taken into custody:
Ladarrius Matthews, 18 of Morganza, was charged with terrorizing, illegal possession of a stolen firearm, possession of SCH I, possession of a firearm with narcotics, aggravated assault with a firearm, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and introduction of contraband into a penal system.
Romeo Matthews, 19 of Morganza, was charged with terrorizing, illegal possession of a stolen firearm, aggravated assault with a firearm and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
Damari Williams, 18, of Morganza, was charged with terrorizing, illegal possession of a stolen firearm, aggravated assault with a firearm and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
Treshawn Allen, 19 of Morganza, was charged with terrorizing, illegal possession of a stolen firearm, aggravated assault with a firearm and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
Tyler Williams, 21 of Morganza, was charged with terrorizing, illegal possession of a stolen firearm, aggravated assault with a firearm and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
A 16-year-old juvenile of Morganza was charged with terrorizing, illegal possession of a stolen firearm and aggravated assault with a firearm.
