I received a failure to use turn signal citation (no one behind or in front of me late at night - but I get it - laws are laws). Officer threatened an additional ticket multiple times for having no registration papers (rental car companies don't give you registration papers).
I then was charged an additional $280 for failure to appear in court. I thought the court date was "5/27/19" - not "3/27/19".
Luckily 20+ mins of back and forth the chief finally agreed to take away the failure to appear charges.
He said it was clearly a "3" and not a "5". Am I losing my mind?

Sure, if you don't look closely. It's super large and goes over the lines above under "nc" and below but you can see the curve on top and bottom. It's clearly a 3.

if you know its a 3 you can see a three. it does look like a 5 to me

wait. Explain this. Where was this and what did you do wrong?
ETA: wait you can get a ticket for leaving your blinker on by accident?

I’ve had a cop pull me over for the same reason, except he was somewhere behind me. I said who the frick am I signaling to? No one is around. You been drinking? Not enough to see imaginary cars...

I think that's the thing. I've looked at this court date a dozen times and always thought it was a "5". I see the "3" now - but it's twice the size of the other numbers.
Either way, glad the chief I spoke to understood in the end when he simply didn't have to.
