No. It was just a middle aged alcoholic throwing paint on the floor.

Please explain this painting to me. Please!

No. I couldn't.
Yes, you could. It would take you a day to research the different mediums and the colors that he uses.
It would take you another day(or two at the most) to hammer out a few hundred prototypes by using Pollock's trademark approach of diarrhea'ing paint on a canvas.
Use the next day to narrow down to your "best" work which has the most similarities to one of Pollack's. This may be the most difficult part because you would essentially need to try to find the best match between two pieces of garbage.
Spend the remainder of the week building up a community of functioning retards akin to Draco to celebrate your work. Find someone really rich and really really stupid to buy your garbage thus leading some "credence" to its value.
Viola, you're now like Pollock.

I trust his opinion on art. Dude made the absolute GOAT of hype videos.

I haven't studied painting enough to know what he was reacting to or trying to represent
His paintings represent nothing! It's fricking paint splatter for God's sake!
His process? Dip brush in can, sling paint on canvas. Such talent!

The biggest shame about Pollock is that he's doing something that has been done in the realm of art for decades, perhaps centuries. But due to the fact that he sold out, he gets the most "credibility". Pollock is to abstract art, what Green Day is to Punk Rock.

I thought I read somewhere a billionaire spent 300+M on a piece of art on his credit card. The upswing? He will never pay for a plane ticket again in his life as he now has crazy skymiles.

You calling other people pretentious assholes while being one yourself is such a wonderful example of cognitive dissonance it's almost a work of art itself.
I don't think you used the term cognitive dissonance correctly.

Someone pull three or fours splatter paintings together and make one a Pollock and we'll see just how good these art aficionados are. I just don't know how to make it so they can't do an image search.

Does it need to represent something? Or is it there to get a reaction or evoke an emotion?
