terrible partying stories.
Talking to a girl I was interested in at a bar.
Her ex bf was a bartender and tried to roofy her. Instead he roofeed me.
I left her, took another girl to cashs. And licked her vagina in a booth in full view.
Was only not arrested because the cop knew me and knew something was wrong and it wasn't alcohol.
Spent 6 hours in the ER and got a yeast infection in my mouth.

I partied hard for 10 years and all I have to show for it is a divorce, custody agreement and transplanted liver.

What was her reaction?
She was sleeping. I was just about to doze off and the bathroom door cracks open and it’s my wife going “babe? babe?” followed by hysterical laughter. I stumbled out of the bed and ran into the bathroom. It’s a top story at every family gathering.

In 2002, a couple weeks after the first Bonnaroo, we were in Manchester, TN partying with a couple friends and some girls we met at the show. It was supposed to be just a night but turned into two. Saturday night was wild, and sometime Sunday afternoon my friend and I woke up to his phone ringing in this chick's car. We were in Panama City. The girl's mom had called us and was pissed. Evidently, we had left out with the girl going to the beach, but left her somewhere south of Montgomery. Her mom was legit going to press charges for auto theft, but she talked her out of it. We went and ate Waffle House at like 2 in the afternoon, filled the car up, and picked her up on our way back through. She drove the rest of the way back to Manchester.

Instead of focusing on the bad of drinking, maybe focus on the good that sobriety has brought you. I'd love to hear something awesome you've gained through sobriety
Yeah man it's crazy the amount of hobbies you gain when you ain't shitfaced. I've been a bad alcoholic and drug user since I was 18. An entire decade.

When I was 16 I was hanging out with a bunch of people I looked up to. I drank 2 shots back to back of everclear on fire and then to show i was for real, I grabbed the bottle and downed 1/4.
I immediately regretted my actions.

Well, other than a heart attack at 41, fatty liver diagnosis at 43, I'm good to go...

That’s amazing man. 5 months is a long time, you’ve got this. Saying that you’ve been sober for a year will be an amazing feeling and you’re almost halfway there. Keep going. You’re life is so much better off without booze.

I was a raging cocaine addict and alcoholic for a decade. I showed my arse so many times that it's still embarrassing to imagine what certain people think about me. Been sober for over 4 years.

Real talk, I think one of the reasons I haven't attempted sobriety (and I very much am an alcoholic) is that, according to those I have asked, my behavior isn't any demonstrably worse or different outside of an increase in volume and enthusiasm when I drink. If it caused me more problems, I'd probably be a lot more worried about it. The only thing that gives me pause is my health, and I'm just not very concerned about that, in all honesty.

Is it worth losing your home, car, job, family, friends?
Because I have seen that happen more than once.

shite my fat thumb hit the dv button, but that's the good stuff man. That list right there is where your kind should be. May be hard to push through, but think of how far you come, how much better you are, how much more deeply you're able to love your family and the love your getting in return. Great stuff!! Keep on!

I know dozens of people in recovery. None of them ask strangers on the internet for drunkie druggie war stories from strangers when they are struggling. That is the definition of a trigger and an almost surefire sign of impending (or even planned) relapse.
