It amazes me that in lue of the recent events in Lafayette this shite goes down.

Damn. That's literally the WORST area of the city. That shite out there is rough. Not talking just crime, but in the sense that it looks very ran down and third world. You know it's bad when the nicest thing around for a mile radius is a damn projects.

Most "semi automatic" large caliber rifles are considered battle rifles. Your M14, SKS, etc are battle rifles.

No, an assault rifle is a rifle capable of selective fire, ie can be switched between Semi, Burst or Automatic capabilities.
What liberals classify as an "Assault Weapon" =/= Assault Rifle.
