A couple of Senators, and maybe a Representative or two. Then I'm free to do whatever I want until the end of time.

I'd buy some extra socks.

It's supposed to get extra cold in a few days.

Pay off all debt, buy a few cars, clothes, etc.

Then set up funds for my kid’s kid’s kids. Start a scholarship fund at LSU. Sponsor a chair at LSU. Build a church.

I'd invest a large portion in tax free municipal bonds and live of the 5% interest.

Then I'd buy a large portion of land, build a 5000 sqft log cabin, and smoke pot on my front porch everyday for the next 40 years.

I would become the local version of a Koch brother or George Soros. See what trouble I could cause that way.

Buy the Poli Board and burn it to the ground Yoda style.

Trust me they don't stay bought if you don't keep paying

So if I understand you correctly, you're good with spending ~$800 grand on three or four cars on Day One, but advise against immediately giving to churches. charities or family right away, because you should "hold that nest egg tight". Have I got that right?

You're the kind of a-hole I hope gets t-boned by a concrete mixer when you are pulling out of the lot of the fricking McLaren dealership.

I’d honestly take a couple weeks to sort out what to do...more money, more problems. There would be a lot of legal work to figure out before I would even begin thinking about spending it.

Taking care of my parents would be a start
I would ask my brother if he wants anything, but I would not be surprised if he would turn it down

I would travel aimlessly for at least a year or maybe more...and I wouldn’t even stay in crazy nice places. I’d probably stay in hostels and meet people from across the world. There are so many places I want to visit and I just don’t have the time to do so.

Winning the powerball would be buying time as much as it provides money.

I’d hire a really good financial guy. I don’t want to be one of those broke jokes cautionary tales in 5 years.
