A staff member who served in Gov. John Bel Edward's Office of Disability Affairs died from complications involving the coronavirus.

Gov. Edwards' office announced the death of 33-year-old April Dunn on Saturday night. She was described as a "tireless advocate for people with disabilities."

“On behalf of Donna and my entire administration, it is with heavy hearts that we mourn the loss of our dear April,” Edwards said. “She brightened everyone’s day with her smile, was a tremendous asset to our team and an inspiration to everyone who met her."

Edwards said Dunn helped improve the lives of countless Louisianans with disabilities, working hard to advocate for herself and other members of the disability community.

I am going to say based on pictures yes...but, still very sad either way. No one deserves to die at 33.

Damn. I wish I hadn’t clicked this thread.

Godspeed to her. And prayers for the family.

The OP posted this to draw sympathy for the you woman but also to solicit responses about pre-existing conditions.

They wouldn’t even let her mother say goodbye to her in person. Pretty damn sad

Well lets see how the O-T turns this into something either political or nasty.
(Coming from a conservative who isnt a JBE fan).

This is sad. As all of them are. RIP to this young woman.

Edit: then again, i know where I am.

This thread should be filled with well-reasoned arguments and totally won't have anyone trying to score gotcha points with this woman's death.

Now that's bullshite. Quarantine me. Shoot me. But if my child is dying, I'm going to be there. There are less stupid arse, heartless ways to handle this.

The only argument to be madeis that this poor girl is a reason to observe quarantine rules and isolation.

Yes, you may not get very sick, or you may survive, but not everyone will.

Why risk the overall health of the populace because you're bored? Or because you dont like staying at home? Or because you must be in a certain place to worship someone?

Just stay home. If we do it all together now, then theres a better chance of ending this earlier instead of prolonging it by increasing the spread.

RIP April.
