Surprised that the exploding Ford Pinto, Ford EXP and Dodge Dynasty was left off of the list.
30 years....the cutoff would be 1987
The Pinto was earlier than that if memory serves me correct.

If ugly is#1 criteria, the Nissan Juke needs to be listed.
If breaking down is # 1 criteria, then Jeep Cherokee needs to be listed.

I had one of the cars on that list, exact year make and model, and in six years never had one single problem.

PT Cruiser is on the list, but this proves with a little money you can make any car awesome

No hate for the 1987 Ford Tempo! I had one, the only thing worse was the 1987 Ford Escort. I owned a Tempo after test driving it and an Escort. Tempo was nice on the interior, quiet, nice ride.
Plastic radiator and other foibles made it one of Consumer Reports' worst vehicles ever. No mention here. I got seven years out of it, though.

About right, 9 GM products, 7 Chrysler, and 2 Fords.
They knock the Probe for it's engine, but I outran Camaros with mine.

I like the SSR
Also, the 96 Grand Am was surprising to see on that list

most radiators now are plastic/aluminum. The past problem was that many used two different metals that cooled and expanded at different rates causing leaks. Now you would be shocked to find out how much of a car is plastic. Most cars now also have plastic intake plenums past the throttle.
Someone said Jeep Cheorkee, which is odd the old 4.0 straight six on the cherokee was easily one of the best motors of the last thirty years.
(I would say 5.0 ford {4.9}, 5.0 and 5.7 Chevy, 3.8 Chevy, 4.0 Toyota and 5.2 Chysler were some of the great Engines, with that 4.0 and the 2.0 Honda in there as well. )

well, yeah, that 2.8 v-6 Camaro took at least 12 seconds to get to 60. Those old Camaros were way too heavy. The Fox body MUSTANG which didn't look as good, ran circles around it, even having only 215 HP.

Agreed. The 96-00 Grand Am seemed to own the road at the time. It was also hailed as a very reliable vehicle.

My father owned a fox body Mercury Capri... 4cyl
He loved that car and drove the wheels off of it. As I got older, he and I would work on it together.

It was but any car getting rammed from behind and exploding should always be placed on that kind of list.

305 Camaros were easy pickings also.
Mine was identical to this, except it was a light green, different wheels.
