Zero to 1 was the hardest transition for us. Followed by by 1 to 2. From 2 to 3 kids was the easiest transition for us and I couldn't imagine life without our 3rd child. You won't regret it.

Kids now a days aren't worth a shite. Parents cant even get their 16 year old sons off the couch to go cut grass, you can totally count out the idea of them having careers to pay into SS. Americans under the age of 16 at this point are more likely to draw on welfare benefits in the future rather than contribute.

3 kids tends to be frantic, especially depending on the separation of ages.
Ours are girl girl boy with five years between the first two and about three to four years between the second two.
Dealing with a newborn is always stressful and it gets that much worse if the other kids are hindering rather than helping out.
Now that the youngest is older and potty trained, it is a lot less stressful then having one getting potty trained and one in diapers.
The biggest question you should ask yourself isn’t directly “Do I need three kids?” as much as “Can I handle another one in diapers and waking up all night?”

One thing I found out after the 3rd one is that everything in this world is geared toward a family of 4 (cars, hotel rooms, etc.).

We always had six passenger cars growing up.
I don't think any car company has a front bench now
We had an rv for trips though

Wanna bet? You either don't have kids or don't know how to raise them.
My 12, soon to be 13yr old son, has been mowing the yard for 2 years. This will be his 3rd.
My 14, soon to be 15yr old daughter, has been cleaning house and baby sitting for several years.
ETA: We planned on having 3 until my son was born. He was a bit of a handful to say the least. Had stomach issues as a kid but learned to crawl at 6mths and walked at 9 mths.
He cured us of that urge.

But, on the flip side, we enjoy our kids so much, I do worry if we stop with two that I'll always feel some regret/guilt about not having another rugrat running around.
Sounds like you want the third one. If so, do it.
I have three. It was harder to go from 1 to 2 than from 2 to 3. Mine are 26, 23, and 20 now. It worked out great. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

Our hardest transition was from 0 to 1, then 2-3, then 1-2. Our firstborn was a demon of a toddler, but now he's an extremely well behaved 6 year old.
I've got 2 boys, 6 and 4, and a 9 month old little girl. When I can treat the boys as one unit, things are pretty easy to maintain. Like, I take the "boys" to the park or play with them outside or go see a movie. However, when one needs to go to t-ball and the other has to go to karate, that's when things start getting tougher since the wife and baby are pretty much inseparable. It does help that the girl is pretty much an angel of a baby.
I say go for it. Every child is a huge blessing and responsibility. There's not much in life that you'll do that's more important or meaningful than being a parent.

My first was born last week. Little girl. Trying at a later date for a boy. If it’s another girl, I’m not sure if I’m willing to roll the dice again.

When I was going from 1 to 2 a guy with 5 told me the number didn’t matter (aside from the cost). He said you spend the same amount of time dealing with 1 as you do 5, the less you have the more 1 on 1 they get but 1 can drive you just as crazy as 5.
Now having 2 I can see the truth in that, at times it’s actually easier bc you don’t sweat the small stuff as much the more of them there is.
