The 911 call and phones seem fishy. Even for an older dude. I assume this dad is my age. I’m not so old that I’d forget what a cell phone is for and run to a gas station for help.
Don’t think I’m leaving my son there to die alone either. He’d be coming with me. Especially since the two friends are dead and you can’t know that the area is safe.
This either some far fetched movie plot type of massacre where they stumbled across two fricking murdering sociopaths (that’s small odds) in the middle of nowhere. Or drug related, as mentioned, and Cartel drug related. Only cartel types would brutalize victims to send a message. Otherwise you’d just have 3 guys shot. Or it’s over poon. One of these guys “Jody’d” the wrong guys girl. Or one of these best friends fricked another ones wife etc. that’s the only way it gets personal and savage like that.
Or throw all of that out and shitty little crack head brought a revolver to kill 3 guys or his Turd Taurus jammed after 6-7 shots and he had to finish the job with whatever he had. Rock, tackle box, hammer, anchor.

Do you think most dads freaking out over their son dying in their arms know that? Probably not.

I think most dads freaking out over their son dying in their arms don’t leave them to die and go pick up a 17 year old convenience store clerk for help.

Might as well have just got it over with and said White Jake and Black Jake.
We all know that's what you meant.

Yeah, there’s a lot of weird details here
0.0% chance the dad leaves the kid there to die alone, right? Was he too heavy to move? I don’t get that part at all.
And why does the 17-year-old girl ride back with him?!

so what do you think they do?
Because thats exactly what he did do.
Whats your theory?

I have a teenage son.
"Hey Google or siri! call 911" while I'm loading him into my car and assessing his injuries. Tell 911 operator my location and my route to closest hospital so they can get me an escort or have an amberlamps meet me.
It's not like you have to navigate a complex decision matrix to do the smart thing to try and save your son's life. Parents face these kind of situations almost daily around the country albeit usually after accidents not murder.

All I know is that Grady Judd is a top notch name for a Sheriff.

Why didn’t the dad use his sons cellphone to call 911. The son used it to call his dad...why wouldn’t dad use it to call 911.
Maybe he didn’t know the code, is all I can figure.
Ther is something more to this story though.

They didnt have any guns with them. I dont leave the house with a 9mm and hot pepper spray.

Weird that none of the victims had phones that the dad could have used.

There's a gas station roughly 1 mile away from where this happened at. It wouldn't take long for him to go to the gas station and back, maybe less than 5 minutes

No chance my mother or father-in-law would know you can call 911 without passcode. They don’t know who Siri is.

Easy to think that clearly when you're not under any stress. He probably called the 1st person he could think of that's always been there for him.

Yeah, the story is definitely weird but the passcode part is not the strange part. Lots of people my parents' age are tech-stupid.
Hell, I have the newer iPhone without the button and I'm looking at the lock screen and don't see anywhere that you can dial 911.
After Googling:
quote:
Press and hold the side button and one of the Volume buttons until the Emergency SOS slider appears. Drag the Emergency SOS slider to call emergency services. If you continue to hold down the side button and Volume button, instead of dragging the slider, a countdown begins and an alert sounds.
I'm young and didn't know this

0% because it is BLM related.
