It’s really not that weird - sounds like they stumbled in to a drug deal.
Son calls dad because that’s what you do in remote areas (police can be forever away) and 17 year old girl, I guarantee knew the boys. Everyone knows everyone in small towns.

He knew where they fished at. That road is a dirt road with no turnoffs. It does have 2-3 small shootoffs that go to orange fields, but they are not really roads.
This is going to turn out to be someone that knew the first guy that was killed, and probably all 3.

Sheriff did an interview on Fox News this AM and said "Zero evidence this was a drug deal gone bad." Doesn't mean that the guys didn't walk into something they weren't involved with I guess but that is what he said.
He is doing a press conf at 11am EST at which time he is supposed to release details that will clear things up.
