On the other hand, I had totally forgotten about the other phrase (I remembered the fire work). I kind of like to remember stuff like that. It puts a lot of stuff in perspective. Makes me think about what a tense and demoralizing atmosphere is must have been for the black people/kids I knew growing up and makes me feel sorry for kids who are raised with this phrasing, go out and say the n-word on film at some stupid age like 18, and have their life ruined. Does anybody remember other phrases like the knocking or chasers? Asking out of sociological interest.

I feel bad for the families of those boys. I really do.
I would much prefer they lived so they could see that this is why you don't frick with random people as you have no idea how they will react. It's just not worth the risk. There's all kinds of crazy people out there and any one of them could absolutely kill you if you piss one off enough.
That said, the old man belongs in prison.

I really cant find any fault in these kids.Unless they were constantly doing it too this one guy. Its probably the most harmless prank kids can do.

It's the opposite for me. It was ding dong ditch growing up. I've never heard of that racial term.
