UFC event was cool, but I was promised a world's fair, free summer concert series and a year of patriotic events.

So far, we've gotten frick all and zero hype in any of the major cities.

Just nothing.

I am disappointed.

Young Washington looks good though.

American cities barely have any actual Americans anymore.

You should wait for it to start. Cook out with your family. Go to the fireworks show. I bet it will be good

It's not getting the attention it deserves because socialists are not in the white house.

From what I can see, the suburbs are picking up the slack from where the major cities are lacking. A lot more local festivals and such than normal for the Fourth.

It should be a bigger deal though and you can thank the Dems for not doing their part because they have warped themselves into thinking that patriotism equates to supporting Trump.

And you know why, it's all because they hate Trump and will turn their back on the U.S. celebration because he's involved. They're just a miserable bunch.

Even the fleet stuff was woefully unadvertised.

Nothing at all like the Bicentennial when it was all-hands-on-deck. We now have a political party who literally hates this country so this is somehow dampening the spirit of the holiday.
