Have any of you given your DNA to this company?
I use it. It's pretty cool.

Fascinating that such a smart individual didn’t see this coming and just sell the company for billions long before this

She did see it coming and tried to buy it at a massive discount. Her entire board resigned after she tried to get their sign off to take the company private for $.40/share when it was trading at $5.

Given Wojcicki’s background as a scientist/researcher, I’m guessing she really believed that the scientific breakthroughs would monetize the business long term.

Maybe she was ultimately right and they just ran out of time (money). Who knows, but I’d be requesting destruction/deletion if I had done one of their kits.

Honest question, what good is this DNA to anyone other than amateur genealogists and crime sleuths?

It isn't a complete DNA sequencing of any individual. Its some 7,000 markers (I think I read) out of the millions we all have.

What am I missing?

Do you think the H Man from Germany would have found this data helpful when committing genocide in the 30’s/40’s?

Knowing exactly what addresses to show up at which ones to skip?

Thankfully I was able to after someone posted the instructions on how to do so on Reddit. Unfortunately, the company still reserved the right to retain people's genetic information with their contracted genotyping laboratory
