I thought the same thing as well.
Maybe if one of them dies it would be "easier" to separate them? And I guess it also depends on how they died. Shot in the head, I guess one can die and the other live. Shot in the stomach/chest, I would assume it affects both of them.
Also, if they have one reproductive system, I assume that also means only one vagina. So when you're banging one you're simultaneously banging the other.
So many questions, but this shite is fascinating to me.

I’m pretty sure I have read that because their cardiovascular system and other vital organ functions are so intertwined that death happens to the other twin not long after the first one passes.
