Yeah I'm not for inconvienicing normal citizens and curtailing their rights for a couple dumb asses. But a heavy presence of police being visible is a key. Not 18 cops on the corner of royal and conti and not one within a 8 block radius of their

The fact that they both fled toward royal and not the other direction tells me it really could have been some gutter punks. Thugs would have hit the projects the opposite direction.

These "random acts of violence" occur everyday in NOLA. This particular time it just happened to have occurred in the Quarter, which also happens to be the one place every tourist that comes to NOLA has to see while they are here. The same thing happened in the Mother's Day shooting last year when the young thugs ran into the crowd and starting shooting at everyone. These mother frickers have no respect for their lives, much less anyone else around them.
This is a problem that our society has created and it has got to stop now. The notion that this is being blown out of proportion is ludicrous to me. Someone in the black community has to come forward to lead these young kids to a good life, one that does not involve shooting the next person just because they disrespected them or their hood.
