Exactly.. This isn't a job for politicians .. Its a job for civilians to stop raising animals..

I think he's calling for legalizing drugs fwiw

Well maybe if "drug dealer" as an option for occupation was taken off to the list, the "black community" would have to do something more productive. Maybe people who aren't black wouldn't be getting slaughtered all over Mexico, too. Just spit ballin..

If they had a decent family life/ upbringing, they would know this is not an option. Until the men decide they can't stick their dicks into everything that moves without repercussions, this won't change. Until we as a society decide that supporting this act of class welfare is unacceptable, this won't change.

Mother frick man. I know you're a gump and all, but read through the thread. There are a few people who actually know what goes on and what most probably happened here, and I'd bet you $78 that it was not some kind of turf war. I will literally pay you $78 if it was a turf war.
If you had half a brain you'd realize that shootouts are bad for business. The guys who sell drugs in the quarter have been working the same areas for years, and the police all know and get along with them. They actually let most of them do their thing because it keeps the area stable. Young bucks that get fricked up and wanna act tough are the reason things like this happen

So you grew up down there, yet you're one of those people who call it "the Quarters."

I don't doubt you may be right about the system down in the quarter. Fair enough. But I would bet you $82 that most of the violent crime in New Orleans is drug related.

The people getting shot on Bourbon St at 3 am aren't tourist.
Well dumb shite, WWL just reported some of the victims were tourist. Guess tourist are in the FQ at all hours.
Who knew?

The guy who was interviewed on the link was truest. He looked scared shitless, how many people will hear that story from him (then the grapevine) then multiply that by all tourist that saw it.
Story's like this stop people from coming back. You don't hear about this shite on 6th street

Urban decay at its finest.

If by drug-related you mean people being fricked up, then yes. From my experience in New Orleans, people don't fight over drug turf like in other large cities

Well that was a story run a couple years ago that most shootings in Nola are not gang or drug turf related. Which is kind of even sadder, since it means the locals are so incredibly savage and stupid that the violence isn't even for business purposes.

Only way it was a turf war is if these guys were probably from the 7th or 9th or 13th or something and have shot at each other before and then happened to run into each other on bourbon and both up on one another and are both shitty shots.
I can almost guarantee neither of these guys probably live within reasonable walking distance to where this happened and neither one was down there "selling dope on their territory". That I can almost say for 100% certainty.

Define "nicer"

I don't believe it would make any difference. Most of the street level dealers are not in line to become CEOs. If dealing is taken off the table because of legalization you will see robberies and theft go up because they will have no other way to earn.

I guess this could be true, but what is the reason then? Fighting over women?

Most are gang and drug related. The information he posted is not accurate.

You don't believe dealing is a unique crime based on the overwhelming market? There is no opportunity greater than the drug trade. Most drug dealers have other occupations.

Did they make an arrest or not?
