He doesn’t even mean it. He lives his life completely insulated from the crime and culture he helps perpetuate

cause he's a libtard. And whenever they disagree with something- especially a historical fact- they simply deny it or revise it. Thus the term "revisionist history".

Depending on what your kids want to study, there are better cheaper options.
Tech fields? LA Tech, ULL, and Southeastern have turned out some quality IT people.
Teaching? Southeastern.
Pharmacy? You have ULM or Xavier as your only options.
There may be good programs at LSU but good fricking luck finding a job here with them, like communications / journalism. Whole fricking Manship Family put their name on the school and wouldn’t hire graduates from there.

LSU in the early 2000s didnt give a crap about you when you left the school. They got your money and good riddance to you. They still wanted those donations though

The schools won’t do it for academic incest reasons. They want people who didn’t just get shoved through the pipeline at one school from undergrad to doctorate.
Local employers outside of schools? That’s different.

Our university community is an essential part of the fabric of Baton Rouge. It is of the utmost importance as we welcome students from across our state and the nation that we create a safe environment.
I guess she realizes that what is bad for LSU is bad for Baton Rouge.

I am coordinating a meeting with LSU and Southern University’s Presidents, BRCC Chancellor, Student Government, BRPD and East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s office to discuss safety for all of our college students in Baton Rouge.
This meeting is a waste of time unless they have a moment where the bolded above tells Mayor Broome to hire a new chief and allow the italicized above to do their fricking jobs.

Because crime went down everywehre, even in cities that had wildly different strategies.
A meme developed in real time because NYC is our #1 city and had so many iconic media portrayals as being extremely run down and dangerous. We saw that decrease in crime and thought "whoever is leading this city is causing this" and the meme was born.
But that happened everywhere. It was a national trend that we just didn't understand in real time, but we do looking back.

One of my fellow college graduates has a daughter that got accepted to LSU and Texas A&M amongst others. The daughter and mom live in Houston. I told Katherine to not let her daughter attend LSU under any circumstances., because of the thugs in Baton Rouge.

At LA Tech you have a better chance of getting hit by a meteor than a bullet.

Kip may have had good intentions but wasn't it his administration that pushed for part of Government to be faux gentrified with a median and a bike lane?
Beautifying part of one main street to make it an entertainment destination doesn't address any real problems two streets over and in this case may have lead to a false sense of security among a naive population of college students.
Keep in mind there is no such thing as a perfect elected official. That's just a FYI.
Kip didn't gentrify Government, he was trying to maximize the potential. He understood that everything from the interstate (I1-10) to college drive between government and Perkins plus Southdowns is the heart of BR.
When the school board fricked up the school system by reassigning what schools went to.. That made kids who lived two blocks from a school have to attend a school that was on the other side of the city a lot of people moved from BR to Livingston & Ascension.
If the people in the area I mentioned above starts moving out and not being replaced by young professionals Baton Rouge is fricked.
You have to make any area in that area as appealing as possible. You need a diverse selection of places to eat, places where people can go after work.. and on the weekends to have some drinks. A place where people can live and not be scared to be outside doing yard work, etc or going for a morning jog, etc.
These people don't want to just send their kids to any private school or have just another magnet school. So if you don't have anything to offer and you allow crime to leak into those parts because then people will start moving out then the same thing will happen to Catholic and St Joes that happened to Redemptorist. And if that happens that will start to impact Episcopal, Dunham, etc.
And once you start losing your better educational institutions you have nothing. LSU and the plants. And if those people decide to move out of La completely and the engineering companies and plants can't hire the man power they need..
But anyway, who would you rather have in office protecting those areas? Kip or SWB? Kip might have been one of the best mayors BR has had. And you are complaining because you think he "faux gentrified" with a median and a bike lane? You are basically saying "Kip did this one thing that I didn't think was a good move. Give me the bitch who will wreck shite up".

Thugs in BR. MS-13 in Texas. Take your pick.

I might get banned but I don’t care right now.
The good people in Baton Rouge need to protect themselves and their families with guns. The thugs need to be killed. No reform bullshite. Run these motherfrickers over if they point a gun or weapon at your car. These people need to be dealt with. Scumbags should enjoy fire in hell for eternity. I don’t care if you be white, black or purple. If you can’t contribute to society in a positive way, then you get no money from the taxpayers.
I am tired of my hometown becoming a god damn ghetto. The good people need to rise up ! There are good black people and good white and Hispanic people. The thugs need to be put away period.
