New 4runner hasn't been unveiled yet. Those are just fan concepts. The downsized and downpriced Land Cruiser does seem to occupy the 4runners space though.

It would be cool if Toyota sent 4runner back to its roots and made it a true competitor to Jeep and Bronco. Give me a 2 door removable top 4runner and take my money.

No way that 4 Runner is 25 feet long. I'm calling shenanigans.

TFL thinks a lot of the parts with the tacoma and 4runner will be interchangeable.

Also, don’t know why they’d kinda make these two model compete. Nearly the same size, just what look you want more now.

The 6th Gen 4Runner hasn't been dropped yet, those are just renderings of what people think it may look like.

The new LC/GX is sweet though. My parents contacted a Lexus dealership about a month ago inquiring about a GX550 and were told they had 286 people on a waiting list for one

We love our 5th Gen 4Runner and plan to keep it around for a really long time, especially if the 6th Gen shares the engine options as the Tacoma.

This doesn't bother me. It's how you get cheap lease return cars with low miles and mostly carpool line idle time.

Beat me to it. Glad I’m not the only one who notices this.

Yeah I don't really get what they're doing there. I think the new land cruiser is going to sell well but they've kind of positioned it to compete against 4runner. There's not a lot that differentiates those vehicles.

The off road segment is booming. The new bronco was a hit for Ford. The since discontinued FJ Cruiser is bringing premiums on the used market because people like them so much. I really think Toyota could make a killing if they let Land Cruiser have 4runners current segment and then reinvented 4runner as Wrangler/Bronco competitor.

Grills don't look big enough to make it in to production. NEED BIGGER GRILLS!

- Toyota designers (probably)

I like a 4runner. Don't get me wrong. But if you don't need a 7 seater why not get a tacoma and put a camper shell on it. Way more storage and if it's dirty or smells it's not in the cab with you.

I agree 100%.

But my wife demands that her/our vehicle (not my trucks) be able to lie down during road trips. I'll probably end up with one of those 2 vehicles within the next year because of it even though on road trips its just the 2 of us and a bulldog.

Same, but 4cylinder turbo, hybrid only engine makes it a hard pass for me.

Also no 3rd row option

I realize the ‘24 LC is based on the new Prado, but I’m excited that you’ll be able to buy a base LC again with…cloth. I really am. You haven’t had that option since the early 90’s.

Why? Toyota’s hybrid tech is extremely reliable & has been proven for over a decade.
So buy the GX with the twin turbo 6 then?

Any ideas about what the limited 4runner will look like?

Because I want simplicity and reliability. I keep my Toyotas for 200k+ and 10yrs +. You're looking a a turbo replacement before 200K, then there is hybrid battery replacement.....

I watched a GX review the other day. Said the Bronco isn’t remotely close to the GX.
Talked to my dealer today, crossing my fingers for a late April delivery of an Overtrail+.

I bought my son a used 2010 FJ Cruiser in 2019. He is still driving it today. I am halfway thinking about trading vehicles with him and driving it for a while.
