Everyone else is going with digital screens seemlessly integrated and Hyundai is sticking with the ipad stuck to the dashboard.

When I hear Genesis, I think of those awful Genesis Halftime Shows from Monday Night Football last season.

We're not even in 2021 yet. Why is everyone in such a hurry these days. Slow down and enjoy life. Maybe put down the social media for a few days.
You want 2020 to last longer???

I’m in MS, but baws like trucks and gals like SUVs.

Hyundai/Kia are now just as, if not more, reliable than Honda/Toyota
Any info to back that up? Not starting shite, i'm curious if there is reliability data yet. I'm very impressed with how Genesis/Hyundai/Kia have improved immensely over the recent years. I'm just curious to see if there is reliability info that compares them to the big boys in reliability. I don't remember seeing anything when i was shopping a few months back.

Jeeps are notoriously unreliable, but mine is 13 years old and has had virtually no issues (other than my self inflicted). Had an O2 sensor out and a small leak on one of the valve covers that only was fixed because I was doing a tune up and it was cheap.
I just wonder how much these reliability numbers even really matter.

Boy howdy I do.
We still have plenty of time for that asteroid or alien invasion.
Think positive

Expect pricing to start just over $37,000
that's a steal in this car market

I had a Audi 7 Series hatchback as a rental car for a couple of weeks in the UK.
Nice. I think that’s the market that test mule was aimed at.

You think they all get better after 3 years? Long-term reliability pretty much follows the same pattern.
Actually it doesn't... Better quality parts last longer.

I can only offer you what they offer us...
And of course, the IQ studies...

You would think their warranties might back that up...

Those cars are super nice.
I hired one to take me from Atlanta to Augusta for the Masters last year and it was a wonderful ride.

Warranty has nothing to do with quality, just means the dealer picks up the tab during said time period.
I have friends and family that has had Hyundais and Kias and shite starts falling abort near 100K miles. The powertrains seem fine, but window regulators, switches, electronics, interior trim are all issues they have had with normal wear. This is not the case with Toyota and Lexus. Genesis has not been in existence long enough to say they are as or as you said "more reliable than Toyota" long term.

I'm not a fan of the huge cheese grater honeycomb grilles that seem to be festooning many front ends recently.
Me neither, but it's light years better than the Lexus front ends of recent years, and the Genesis is a very nice car.
If I ever buy a luxury car, it's at the top of my list.

What's the Genesis racing pedigree?

Not spending that kid of a $$ on Hyundai /Kia quality and reliability.
You need to quit reading your Car & Driver from the 1990s.
KIA and Hyundai have been in the top 5 for quality and reliability for years now - up there with Toyota and Nissan and ABOVE Honda.
I currently own 3 KIAs (2 new, 1 used) and have had exactly 1 mechanical issue (a broken door handle) that was taken care of immediately by our local dealer.
My only issue is with the two females in my family who treat kitchen trash cans better than the vehicles they drive.
