I'm not a fan of the huge cheese grater honeycomb grilles that seem to be festooning many front ends recently.
I believe Toyota started this trend and it looks like arse...

It really depends for me. I've seen some that look good (I personally like these), but I have seen others that were kinda "meh" at best.

If anything it's a 3 series ripoff considering who the Genesis CEO and fellow engineers came from. That being said, everyone has been doing that for a few decades now.

I love the whole look of Genesis, especially the G70. Perhaps because they are designed by BMW engineers.
