Tundras are about as cheap on the interior as can be

You missed the point. The nice interior is lipstick on a pig. Our Yukon Denali has lived at the dealership for a variety of issues: magnetic shocks, ac, radio, navigation, transmission, along with the premature leather wear, console rattles, etc. It's our second full size GM product, and both have had multiple issues.

I recently bought the 2021 GMC Sierra Denali with the 3.0L Duramax and absolutely love it.

Definitely worth the money.

No, but I'd eventually would like to buy a 5th wheel for camping one day.

You are in the extreme minority then.

Not sure, but my Tundra was bulletproof, and my Raptor is not far behind it. Neither have seen much service time, other than maintenance.

Growing up trucks were basic vehicles. Now they come in the highest premium trim packages that auto makers offer. Luxury leather and infotainment comes with a lofty price tag.

Maybe if I made a lot more money, I would buy one, but even then, I just think it’s foolish to spend that much on a vehicle.

They still come in basic trims too that are just as cheap as their older counterpoints when adjusted for inflation.

Luxury trucks aren't really anything new though. The Sierra C3 which was essentially the first Sierra Denali came out 20 years ago.

I love when simple facts get downvoted in vehicle threads

Not sure why I'm getting downvoted into oblivion! This is a serious question and honest suggestions will be appreciated.

It'll probably be your last GM truck.

ETA- traded my Denali on a Tundra last year.

I've been a Sierra owner (now my 3rd one) and I recommend the AT4 vs. the Denali....the difference is just an eyelash and the savings would be $10Kish and you can get everything the Denali has.

Just a suggestion

This is true. I bought a 2020 AT4 in August for $53k.

Does anyone make a high end interior truck that isn't gaudy?

Like, nice sound and subtle, high end finishes? Everything I see in premium trucks is kicker speakers in the tailgate and whatnot

I feel like the High Country is kind of like this but not quite

Toyota Tundra TRD PRO. What you need, without all the fluff.

Did they ever install A/C vents for the folks in the backseat yet?

It always baffled me that they made GMC trucks with crazy features like “Kicker speakers in the tailgate” when I really just don’t want my kids sweating their little faces off in the backseat during Summer month heat. Dropping $70,000 and missing that feature was always a deal breaker in my eyes.

2019 redesign finally added those and a flat floor in the back seat.

Not bad. I like the GMC Denali trucks but they used to lack A/C vents in the back seat area which was just cheeky.

Does it have air conditioning vents in the back seating area?

I bought a 2020 Ram 1500 for $35k and it has everything I need. It will also tow up to 12,000 pounds if I need it to. I was looking at the 3/4 ton models from the 4 major manufacturers and couldn't justify spending basically double.
