Several seem underwhelmed here and online on the power. I think they may be overlooking the fact that this is the just the base model. The Z06 and ZR1/Zora will without a doubt be lights out.

I’d have rather circular tail lights but it’s a pretty car

Porsche is updating the 911, but this basically kills the 718 and the much more expensive 992. I can’t believe they can keep the price below $100k. .

It’s definitely a game changer.

This is probably the dumbest reason to not buy it, but I fear there will be many on the road and make it less "exotic."

You have baws taking out 10 year loans for a F250

I kid I kid.

When did 495/475 and under 3 sec becoming underwhelming?

Ford and Mopar fan boys mostly saying it's not even making 500hp, theirs make 750, etc

When Ford/Toyota/Dodge fanboys realized their horse isn’t nearly as cool as the C8.

I find it interesting you left Toyota off that list.

I think the C8 is aimed more towards competitors from Germany and Italy.

From a performance standpoint this definitely kills the 718, but I really don't think their will be significant cross shopping between this vette and the new 911. We don't know ring times, but I'd imagine the new 911 and this thing will be reasonably close. And I don't think there's much argument that the 911 won't blow this thing away in fit/finish and quality.

They went with a lot of cast aluminum and carbon fiber in the design.

I told the wife the same thing, only in addition. The 68 will never be sold.

She's a Porsche 911 girl, and she thinks the C8 looks great and speaks volumes if you knew her.

Hard to justify (to myself) to (2) 2-seaters with 2 kids in car seats. Only thing stopping me is needing the backseat.

I think GM did a phenomenal job. I was not a C5/C6 fan, and the C7 is nice but this is a game changer indeed.

I look forward to seeing the this bodywork on the GT3/GTE Corvette, hopefully grabbing wins at Le Mans now that Ford is done with the GT program

Everyone is going to miss the sound of the C7 and previous iterations though

I almost bought a 97 from a coworker, but after driving it for a couple days, I just couldn't do the deal. Never felt comfortable with it.
I like the C7 a lot, but I believe it had reached its limits. This is the right time to bring in the C8.

Those lines are clean as hell. Chevy did an awesome job with the aesthetic.
