ell, I’m gonna be that guy. I have a 2017 Tundra and the electronics are crap. I LOVE everything else about it but the Bluetooth sucks.

Why does it suck? I have a 2016 Tundra and the Bluetooth connects no problem. What else is it supposed to do?

If you’re looking pro then money isn’t an issue. You can get a 19 pro for abt 5k less than the 20 but the 20 has some new electronics and tech if you want that. Might as well if you’re looking pro like I said.

Unless you want to customize it yourself and/or turn your own wrenches, buying a pro is worth it. There’s a lot of 4runners out there but not a ton of Pros.

2 cents of a Pro owner.

Have a 2019 Limited. Wifey drives it most of the time. Tightest vehicle I’ve ever owned. I’m 53 so I’ve owned a lot of vehicles.

The only real thing the Pro has over the Off Road is the exclusive color for that year

Im pretty sure there is more than a color difference. Those Fox shocks ??????are just one.

The TRD Pro 4Runner is my dream vehicle.

What I said was with the cost savings on an off road vs the TRD Pro you can UPGRADE the suspension, tires, wheels etc and get a better car if thats your thing.

I’m aware of the other bits the TRD Pro has but I was trying to point out that for the $ you pay it doesn’t seem justified.

For $5k wouldn’t you rather throw on a set of ICON Stage 2s, FN Fx Pro Wheels and a set of 285 BFG KM3s? You would have a much better setup than what Toyota is giving you for the $?

Let me start by saying I’m a Toyota guy. My family recently bought its fifth.

The 4Runner is a legend and with good reason. It’s reputation for reliability is the reason it hasn’t changed much with time.

That said, it’s consistently among the lowest rated SUV’s on the market. Consumer Reports gives it a 62. The lowest on the market scores a 58. That puts it with the Dodge Durango and Volkswagen garbage plus getting beat handily by Kia among others.

I had one for a week as a rental recently. Drives stiff and top heavy. The dash is totally out of date.

If sold on Toyota, get the Highlander. Got 11 repair free years and 200,000+ miles out of mine before upgrading to the Tundra as a work truck. It still ran like a top.

The Highlander has negligible difference in cabin size, better MPG, vastly better ride quality and among the highest rated SUV’s of the past decade.

Pros, cons? Looking into a TRD pro.

Only cons are this piss poor headlights (many owners have swapped them out), underpowered but highly reliable V6, and Gas mileage.

Yes, I own one... Wife's DD.

Great car, but like most toyotas the past few years, front end is ugly as sin.

It’s a woman’s car?

So what’s a man’s car?

Please tell me that you need a truck to be a man.

Thanks for all of the information! I will definitely look into all of the options. Some of you have echoed some of the same concerns I’ve already read. Sluggish/slow V6, but bomb proof. Lack of features. And I will definitely look into the off road premium package.

If you are a female great. If not, then beware that oilfield Moms are dropping their Tahoe’s and Yukon’s for them in droves. It’s the next soccer Mom vehicle.

The infotainment system itself is wonky. My wife (no pics) has a 2014 4Runner and I think we have the same electronics.

When she needed new tires I had it leveled and put BFG All Terrains on.
