Paris climate accord target
A huge joke. Basically advanced nations sacrificing so developing countries could pollute.

A better headline would have been 'Temperatures Decline Unexpectedly for Second Straight Year"

Now now don’t go confusing the man made Global’s warming zealots by inferring this giant nuclear fusion generator responsible for more energy than man could ever hope to produce has anything to do with global warming or cooling.

And you're right. I remember when some of the regulations came on board in the 70's and 80's.
However, it's not nearly as restricting as some proposals to fight climate change

We are currently in a weak solar cycle.

This plot isn't an exact answer but should indicate solar activity isn't well correlated to the recorded temp profile.
This isn't to discount the profound impact of solar cycles on climate, just that it doesn't really explain the current temperature trend.

You aren’t but politicians like AOC sure are.

Verdict: Man made global catastrophic warming is a governmental and mis-guided party plot to separate you from more of your hard earned money, like the dot com bust and the housing market crash.
When the AMO flips soon to the cold cycle, and with the low sun spot count, we will be worrying about cooling within the next 5 to 10 years. CO2 has been rising steadily for a long time now, and we were warmer in the 30's, and in the medieval warming period. Only by adjusting and torturing the land temperature data have they been able to hide those facts from the people. The only place where we have a problem is inside the computer models.
The best part is mankind has always flourished during warm periods, its the cold periods that bring famine and pestilence. CO2 greatly increase crop growth. Now they are starting to see cracks in the over population scare too, brought to you by the same pompous holier than thou "educated people" who don't read anything about the subject that questions the "science" they choose to believe.

The argument isn't about the sun. It's the primary energy source and certainly major changes in how much energy we get from the sun have dramatic impacts on climate.
The argument is concerning how much less of the sun's energy input are we losing to space because of the greenhouse effect? It's an energy balance. We know the greenhouse effect is a thing, so more CO2 in the atmosphere will keep more solar radiation at the surface. So how is that not going to lead to warming?

the only part of that nonsense that I'll agree with is that a mini ice age would absolutely be more harmful to the human population than a dramatic rise in temperature
