This is NOT a ranking of all cities. This is ranking of the cities they evaluated. So not being on the list means it wasn’t on their list.

Nice to see Arlington getting reps on Tiger Droppings! And you’re right Foshizzle. It’s baskcally a town the size of Baton Rouge but even more densely populated and there’s about 1 murder a year. Crazy.

If you aren’t a gang banger on the west or south sides, Chicago is quite safe and accidentally wandering into shady areas is very tough in a city that big.

Lived there for 10 years and never felt unsafe

The methodology is shite. When you have Seattle within 10 spots of Newark, NOLA, DC, and 8 spots lower than Baltimore, something has went terribly wrong. The whole "financial safety" screwed the whole thing up. When I ask somebody how dangerous a city is I'm not thinking about how much equity the locals have in their homes.

Ummm...Austin has only 200 less violent crimes than NOLA. However, Austin has 39000+ property crimes....NOLA has 15000+.

I am in the top 20 and surrounded by 3 others in the top 20! #whitepeopleFTW

ETA: That being said this is a stupid ranking system and has nothing to do with actual safety

3 makes some sense if you're deciding where to live. Natural disasters can be disruptive at best and fatal at worst.

2 is dumb because gambling on no insurance or buying too much house are self-inflicted.

That is true but in this study Scottsdale is ranked #47 for natural disasters which is absolutely retarded because there are none here, ever. What is even more retarded is Chandler and Gilbert which are literally less than 5 miles away from Scottsdale are #10 and #13 for natural disasters like they are somehow safer from these non-existent disasters.

Where are you getting that? According to google the violent crime rate in NOLA is 9.63 compared to 6.01 in Seattle. However, the property crime rate is significantly higher in Seattle.

White and Asian. Better? That accounts for over 75% of the population.
