If this was for wife or kids I'd take them. $20 mil is nice, but time with them is priceless.

Grandparents brought back at the ages they passed: No (and they'd kick my arse if I turned down $20 million)

I'd bring my old man back in a second so my kids could meet that wonderful man I was grateful enough to call dad.

When I'm visiting my grandpa's grave, like I do every couple months, and am thinking...I wish you were here to give me advice on all the bullshite in the world... not once do I think if someone popped up with 20 mil in a suitcase I'd be like, ok paw paw, catch you on the flip side. Although he'd probably kick my arse for not taking the money and for fricking up his fish fry he was in the middle of in heaven.

I would bring back a loved one...and it is not even close. man, what I wouldn't give to be able to walk into my grandmother's house just one more sunday to smell that spaghetti sauce simmering on the stove.

Most people wouldn't know what to do with $20MM.

That said, if you get to pick which loved one gets to meet the Grim Reaper and it is someone who has one foot in the grave already, I wouldn't fault you for it.

My dad died of cancer at 56. I would easily bring him back for 20 years. I had my first kid 1.5 yrs after he died and would love for my son to have his grandpa for 20 years.

Same here... My brother passed about 5 years ago. I would bring him back.

For this to have been a moderate thread your numbers should have been appropriate. $20 million after taxes is a lot of money and you'd have to be a pretentious a-hole to pass on it.

Somewhere in the $50,000 range was probably your sweet spot for this thread.

ETA: after reading the rest of the thread I respect those who would bring back the grandparent to their children. The grandparent, however, might slap them for not banking that 20 million

shite I would turn down being the richest man in the world with the hottest women in the world as my new girlfriend every year for a chance to get my brother back for 20 years. The money wouldn't be a issue for anyone that lost someone early.

$20m. It's not even a question. You're lying if you say otherwise.

What an interesting and pertinent hypothetical!

Is this what occupies your mind when your sister is sleeping it off?

I'd easily give up $20 million for more time with my mom. She passed away too early.

Well, do you get to know for sure whether they are in some kind of afterlife and which one ((heaven, hell, purgatory, valhala, sheol, etc.) or if they just ceased existing?

Cause if someone was in heaven, not only would they probably be pissed that you yanked them out, but earth would likely be horrible for them by comparison if they are used to heaven.

I would have to take the money, would love to bring someone back but of the choices they would all be pissed I did not pick someone else.
