Mine takes our kids to visit family a few times a year. Usually just two nights, but they're pretty much gone 3 days. At least I can help them get out the door now that I'm working from home.

I usually catch up on the yard work and any little projects around the house I've been putting off. Drink obscene amounts of bourbon, some good, some cheap. Eat all the fast food places that no one else in the family enjoys. Watch a few movies that I can't while kids are around. And after a couple days like that, I'm usually ready for them to be back home. Then an hour after they're back, I'm wishing they had decided to stay one more night.
