1-random psychology class professor talked about planned obsolescence. Disheartening at the time but didn’t stop me from buying a crappy new vehicle made by Mitsubishi.

2-Really good marketing professor said in 1994 or so that every American would have a cell phone in their pocket in 10 years. At the time it seemed unrealistic with Zack Morris cell phone in my head, but he made me and the class believe it. Not like I had any money to invest but I wish I would’ve talked to some people that did. I think of it now and the companies that were 1st to market are now irrelevant that I know of...Nokia, Motorola, Nextel.

Whatever, at least I remembered a couple things from class

1. I can set the curve if I try in statistics and econ classes.

2. This did not apply to upper level accounting classes.

Not college, but I had a high school teacher tell us that in the future you would be able to watch porn in the privacy of your home.

How to juggle multiple projects while procrastinating & putting forth the least amount of effort possible while either hungover or under the influence of multiple substances. Really prepared me for the real world

The genetic difference between me and a chimp is 2%.

And that's where I'll stop.

Law school Agency and Partnership prof told us we had more disposable income than we would in 10 years. While not exactly accurate 10 years later the idea that so much money goes out the door immediately due to "responsibilities" hit home in a big way.

Horticulture 4086 - Fruit and Nut Production.

During a lab at Burden, the professor asked, now why is this fruit tree only pruned to 6' high?

A bunch of serious answers followed.

Professor - 'Because that's how high hispanics can reach'

Had a guest lecturer come in 1988 and tell us about this thing called internet. Said we would have unlimited information available to us but he never mentioned porn. I would have paid more attention if he would've.

1) Showing up to class and paying attention was enough to pass with flying colors almost every time.

2) Pulling all-nighters eventually reached the point of diminishing returns, so frick that, give me a good night's sleep.

Freshmen Biology professor explaining the difference between a hypothesis and a theory on our very first day of class. He was making the point that evolution is not just a wild guess, but is actually a theory meaning it has a LOT of evidence behind it. A hypothesis is an "educated" guess meaning there is some reasonable basis to believe it, but not really any hard evidence. A theory has hard evidence.

Women/girls are meticulous note takers and over achieve when given a simple task.

Yep, much $$ was spent at the Note Depot. The smart people got paid to go to class. I paid them because I decided I had better things going on.

Communication Studies teachers are barely smarter than the average college student.

Any grade can be argued up.
