Has anyone bothered to check on the whereabouts of Bo and Luke Duke?
I know one is bankrupt from strange about 15-20 miles east of here.

Did they die?
IIRC they did not.
Punctured lung, broken leg, but full recovery

Wasn't this guy a baw as well? Remember seeing a thread about it on the OT I think....
Edit: yeah sure enough
Also, in that thread someone measured the distance on Google Earth. 80'. Still about 70' short of what these boys needed to clear to become instant OT Legends.

Yeah, he was also moving like 25 MPH by the time he got airborne. He ran into a damn culvert and still managed to fly 80 feet in the air.

What is also amazing to think about is that if you did make your car jump to the far side of the bridge, it would be destroyed by the impact and certainly never move another inch under its own power; as well as being highly likely to severely injure its occupants in the impact.
Right? Even in the frick yea we did it! scenario these baws are walking away destroyed. But I guess glory knows no price tag.

Their last words to each other must have been something like:
"Billy-Bob, are you sure we can do this?"
"No problem Bubba, I've seen it done on tv a thousand times. Now hold my beer"

I’m betting not a lot of Billy Bob’s and Bubbas in Calcasieu Parish.
I thought these bozos were from Texas

We need someone local to see what kind of speed they can get going on the bridge. from the gate to the ramp.
It's only about 200 feet from the gate to the ramp.
