Best guess with a 10% slope (almost unheard of for a bridge) they would probably need to hit at least 150 mph to have any chance.
Zero drag, no suspension, 95 mph will clear 185 ft at a 10% slope.
125ish should be safe for clearing. Not landing obviously. Speed increases distance exponentially.

I have to admit I have a little respect for the dumbasses.
I pray they went out staring at each other with wide eyed excitement....screaming "wooooohooooooooooooooooo"

Is this a Camarro? Please baby Jesus let this be a Camarro? I think is an Impala or something similar though?

Probably more like "gurgle gurgle gurgle"

That is not a Camaro. It is likely a Malibu, a bit small for an Impala which would also have that Impala logo on it.

The passenger actually got out to lift the arm.... were they afraid of denting the grill or scratching the paint ?

Totally not close to the car I had them pictured in. I had them in something like a '78 Monte Carlo or maybe an El Camino

I was betting it was either like a 2001 Mustang or early 90s Chevy Blazer or 1500.

How busy is that bridge at 2AM? It says there were witnesses. If there was ever a time to pull out the phone to video, this has to be it. Could be someone from the barge going under the bridge too.

That scene cracks me up.

Thanks, and one other update to my original hypothesis....at a high speed speed in a regular car (i.e. not a huge vehicle with large tires that would distribute the force the ramp places on the car) hitting the ramp would initially result in loss of speed and likely significant structural damage to the vehicle and its passengers before it even begins to traverse the gap.
So even if 125 is safe for clearing you might still need to be at 150 before the ramp to compensate for the loss of speed due to hitting the ramp at high speed. So its almost a catch 22, too much speed and the car is damaged so much it falls apart mid-flight or not enough and don't come close to clearing the gap.
