Yellowstone has 700 - 3000 earthquakes on average. Only two in one day is a slow day.

but this number is based on very little data and so is basically meaningless

As is every single number that these "scientists" comes up with if anything happened more than 2000 years ago. They don't know shite.

We wouldn't die instantly in Louisiana, but the nuclear winter that follows wouldn't be fun.

An ungodly percentage of the world would die from the famine.

A volcanic eruption a tenth of the scale of Yellowstone’s potential went on the other side of the world 200 years ago.

US crop yields were a quarter of normal the following year.

I’m in Bozeman. If Yellowstone goes, I’ll grab a beer and bring a chair up on the roof to watch the fireworks, because there isn’t much point in doing anything else. We’d be dead in minutes.

You need to be more worried about Ranier, St. Helens and Shasta. They are the 3 top CONUS US volcano threats.

2 Earthquakes Detected Near Old Faithful Yellowstone

I can't add much to what has been said but I'll try. Yellowstone is a continental hotspot. The volcano is huge. In early research scientists were looking for an obvious crater but in fact the caldera dwarfs the size of volcanos such as Mt Ranier, St. Helens etc. Being a continental rather than oceanic crust hotspot such as Hawaii and Iceland the eruptions are explosive and eject massive volumes of superheated ash and gas as opposed to the relatively calm and behaved eruptions in Hawaii. So when it blows it's going to mess stuff up beyond what you can imagine. And anyone living living in that part of Wyoming and Montana will be in trouble. Now with such a large volcano, I'm surprised the epicenter of the quake was under Old Faithful. Sounds like a popcorn fart to me.

Doesn’t Yellowstone Park average about 100 earthquakes a month?

Could this cause an increase in global temperature? What about after the ash fall out... what happens then? ONLY taxes can save us.
