The East makes more sense when you look at this being rural postal routes. Mailboxes on the street rule out a lot of neighborhoods on the westbank of Orleans.

There is currently, or was, a police chase on Canal in Lakeview. Silver F150 and black Nissan Titan. Saw the F150 stop and check a truck at French/Canal then 2 minutes later flying down Canal with NOPD in pursuit. Good times.

Oddly enough there was a police chase today involving a silver F-150 in Lakeview.
That doesn’t look like Lakeview to me. Only place I can see is the east.

Has to be a different incident. The streets in the Milan neighborhood are nowhere near that smooth.
ETA: I noticed that there are no above-ground utilities visible in front of the houses in that video, so that rules out Milan.

Yeah hadn’t watched it too close. There is a house or two around the corner from me that doesn’t look too far off though. Walk by it all the time…but if that were the case I would’ve heard gunshots.
Either way, my money is on that F150 being the same one involved in the chase today.

I tried to search across news sites for the story, but unfortunately searching. “Drive By shooting New Orleans” pulls up too many hits. Even if you narrow that dates on the search.

You did observe that the comments in the video in the Twitter link are dated back in March? Clearly whoever wrote that as a comment saying it happened this weekend is full of shite.
