We’re high 80s this next week (finally got some rain after a two week stretch with nothing last night).

Just looked at the 10 day and saw a high of 67 next Saturday.

Latest model runs have also showed a huge dip in the the polar jet stream, and the first cold snap usually has a severe weather component to it. Last year first round of Fall severe weather was 2nd week of October.

A lot can change but based on annual weather pattern I would keep an eye on 2nd week of October. This first cold snap usually happens around this time regardless of which ENSO phase we are in.

Since it is Ole Miss week I thought I would give some props

Typical Louisiana. Skip the low 60s and 50s entirely and go straight to the fricking 40s.

I don't like the cold. If I wanted it cold, I wouldn't live in fricking South Louisiana. It's supposed to be hot here.

Did you spend a winter here?
Naw, missed it. Was there in September, November and went back in April and August.

Mostly leisure travel so I was aware to miss January thru March.

How many front threads do we need?

It might be pleasant in northern alabama but we’re still struggling with summer like conditions down here. Nothing wrong with trying to find the light at the end of the tunnel.

Front Day should be a Federal Holiday

Friend,

You are true. I think there is growing interest in expanding Front Day. Mother has officially celebrated the day since 2017 and the last two celebrations have been excellent, including a Halloween Front Day two three years ago! That was an incredible celebration.

We are busy with preparations and hope you will be able to join us, though, we are aware of your recent travels to the British Isles. A special package from Max Brenner arrived today. If you have never had MB hot chocolate you will be in for a revelation when you join us.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

Pick a thread, truzz. There have been like 10 "official front watch" threads. Cosmo gets no respect.
