The guys are annoying but it's odd to me that people hate them more than the cops who don't even know the laws

So I’m eating lunch with my family on an outside patio at a restaurant and these clowns come and set up their camera on the “public” sidewalk just to antagonize me .. and that’s ok ?
Then I ask them politely to not film my kids and I get told “ I’ll film what I want “

Agreed but that is not what these idiots are doing. They try to make people feel as uncomfortable as possible and then make money off it when they upload people going off on them.
And they get settlements from local municipalities after getting roughed up by cops.

Some of the auditors are reasonable and some of them are not. Your comments are a sweeping generalization of the entire category.
It's important that we live in a free society and point out that there is no trespassing or expectation of privacy in public spaces.

In this situation you are free to ignore them or get up and leave.
If you allow someone else to dictate your feelings and "antagonize" you just by their presence, who is really at fault?

The sheer ineptitude of government workers is astounding. If nothing else, the 1a auditors have shown just how stupid they are, Leo included. If the auditor gets settlement money don't blame them, blame the stupid workers. They're in the public sector for a reason

It's a sweeping generalization because that is what they are doing. They are in no way trying to protect the 1st amendment. Sure they will post 1 video every so often when a cop tells them that they aren’t breaking the law but most of the videos are then antagonizing people. Standing outside of a building filming people coming out of a store is creepy.
If it's so important then why monetize it?

i am all for the first admendment
that said, mutual combat should be extended to someone filming to intentionally annoy people. I am not talking about police or government employees, if you film a random citizen going about their day and they ask you to stop, the citizen should be able to kick their arse.

Your car, dashcam, ring doorbell, etc records people every day. Do you not have a problem with those cameras?

The one who came into our town didn't do anything like that. He and his son antagonized the local shops from the sidewalk then when that didn't get the clicks he wanted he resorted to the signage near a school to get the response he desired.
