Correct. It was past the Weinerschniztel towards downtown.

There was absolutely a Taco Bell there in the mid/late 90's. We would go after Murphy's closed. Not sure I've eaten it since

I rarely went north of Weinerschnitzel. But every once in a while during the day I’d venture up to the Bell.

Canes started there in 96 I believe.

Correct. That was the OG location.

I don't recall the Taco Bell. Just Gatti's, Chimes, Varsity, Slinky's, Super-Fresh.

simply could not end a night out at Sports , or the Tiger, without gong all the way across campus to the Taco Bell .

Could of just gone to Murphy’s and saved yourself the drive

I actually think we were at a friends at plantation trace and they were making the normal Taco Bell run. Came back empty handed saying it was closed because it was on fire and we were pissed.

I mean, we weren’t exactly starting the night out, planning around the fact that we’d eventually end up at Taco Bell around 2:30am.. were 18 yr old dumbasses .

There was definitely a Taco Bell on the left up Highland north of campus. I remember being so broke that I felt guilty spending $1.50 for a chalupa. That’s legit broke.

Not after August 1997.

We use to go to that Taco Bell when leaving the Bengal circa 1994.

Im legit surprised that the Bengal was still going in ‘94.. figured it would have shut down by the mid ‘90s .

There was a Taco Bell on Highland when I was at LSU in the 80’s. It closed and Lyman White’s Buffalo Wing Express opened there. It changed again and I don’t remember what took its place.

Wrong side of the road. The Taco Bell was opposite side of Lymans past der Wienerschnitzel. I loved Lymans buffet.

100 percent sure there was one there. I was there from 1994 to 1999 and ate at that exact Taco Bell way too many times...

Nothing like a Mexican Pizza at 2:30 am.

Definitely was one there. Me and my buddy got a gun pulled on us in the drive through around ‘93. Luckily the dude got spooked and ran off. We started going to one all the way out on Siegen after that. Had so many of the .49 cent bean burritos with the green chili sauce. It was a special trip if I had enough money after going out drinking to get a Nachos Bel Grande.

It had a late eighties run and another run in the mid nineties. 2 different experiences. Late eighties was better IMHO.

The Varsity had lines to get in on retro Saturday night around 2003-2006. The line would be so long it would go past Cane’s. Those days are long gone.

Yes, you are right. Thank goodness you didn’t tell them that once there was an Ollie’s Trolley located at Chimes and Highland. They may have had you committed. Or God forbid Magoos. By the way best red beans I ever had.

Used to have major bands booked routinely. I went to their website and there doesn't seem to be anything.

What's the deal? They hate live music now?

Okay so who remembers the Silver Moon when it was at the house on other side the RR tracks near bright side. R the Panchos down Nicholson towards pastime pizza under the bridge?
