Amazing to think where we were then to now. Humor was making fun of yourself back then.

I watched some Don Rickles videos of him ripping on people and the things he got away with back then would have him crucified today.

Had drinks with Redd in the late 80’s in Vegas. We ( me and my first wife) went to one of his comedy shows. Anyway he messed with us during his show( we were sitting up front) everything from oral sex , to what position and she goes black she’s never coming back. After the show the guard came and got us to come have drinks at a private bar back stage with girlfriend ( Asian lady). He. told how he had to do stand up because the IRS had taken everything he had. Redd was really a good guy and funny. I know CSB

Yeah. There is the story that Eddie Murphy cast him in his last sitcom to help him get out of debt. Della Reese was in it as well. He died during filming.
