Looking up at that when you are 17 can be fairly motivating.

I’ve seen some freshman d1 football players at about 200lbs bench this or more. This isn’t some amazing feat.

What exactly did they expect that girl to do in case he could not lift it?

She could roll it off of him if it came to that which is better than nothing. In that scenario just having someone there is a mental advantage that makes a difference, at least for me it does.

That’s pretty damn impressive, but not as impressive as his rotator cuff and labrum surgery is going to be in six months when he gets careless posting more videos

Also, what good is it to be that strong if you’re too scared or insecure to walk over and ask someone for a legit spot. He waste a ton of energy unracking the weight and yelling at his girlfriend mid rep. Then apologizes to the rest of the gym for being excited afterwards.

Very insecure. I bet he takes all his frustrations of being a people pleaser bitch in real life out on his girlfriend while he’s mentally and physically abusing her behind closed doors. I can sniff these guys out a mile away.

Yeah it was. My doctor had me wear that wrap around sling that kept my shoulder immobile for 6 weeks.

Not if he's 17 and still in high school. If that's the case, he spreads that anger and frustration around to plenty of weaker kids in school.

And then he's still got 4 years of fraternity life to look forward to after that. Well, I guess three years worth of pledges to abuse once he becomes a "brother."

Guaranteed it ain't just the girlfried who is getting it all.

Big deal! I’m nearly four times his age and can bench press (almost) half as much.

Several years ago—I'm going to guess we were around 45 at the time—a buddy of mine and I decided to see what we could still bench at the gym one day. I was genuinely stunned by the results.

We started at something easy, like 180 or so, and just kept adding plates. Once we made it up to a little over 300, my shoulder announced that while my muscles could continue the exercise, my joints could not. That if I kept going, I might be signing up for a problem. So we quit there.

I was just surprised we could still lift that much, since we didn't train to do so.

I wouldn't have made it to 400, but I might have gotten to somewhere between 325 and 350.

Of course, that was 10 years ago now.

5) will be in a frat and abuse pledges
