same here. I'd probably go to a trade school for woodworking or something. I would never step foot in another office space though. Except to visit my attorney and FA of course.

191 million =‘s $83 (less than half) after the government comes calling. That is some bullshite. Obviously these guys are fine but not so much if you win $100k or so. fricking vultures.
You do realize that 191 million is if you take the annuity option over 25 years.
Pretty much take whatever they're advertising, and cut it by a third.
Right now, mega millions is at 191 million. If you take cash, it's 120 million.

In Louisiana, winner's names are required to be part of the public record. You cannot win anonymously. You can try to obscure it through layers of legal entities, but ultimately, every real person that's part of any legal entity with any claim to the prize must be known. Can you imagine how quickly the politicians of this state would steal every penny they could if they could hide who was claiming the prizes?
"A person holding a winning lotto ticket in the amount of six hundred dollars or more from a lotto game must provide his or her name and city or area of residence to the corporation to claim a prize. When the prize claimant is a legal entity other than a natural person, the name and city or area of legal residence of each natural person holding an interest of any kind in the legal entity shall be provided to the corporation. Such information shall be deemed a public record as provided in R.S. 47:9006 and may be used by the corporation for publicity purposes."

From a purely legal standpoint, I believe the winners are public information in Louisiana.

The LLC search on the SoS website just lists the attorney...don't know if that'll change in a month or two.
That at least gives you time to move houses and have the home listed under a business so someone would have go through some trouble to track you down.

The government doesn't tax that much. It's like 35%. You lose over half of it if you take the lump sum which is less than the actual jackpot.
