I don't think its really about race. If the speculation is correct, an ex-boyfriend got back at an ex-girlfriend for breaking things off. Victim happens to be a different race than supposed perpetrator. She wasn't killed because she was white.
The story is about the depravity of the perpetrator. If she would have been shot or stabbed, this wouldn't be a topic of discussion.

Im saying this tongue in cheek. Was Mike Brown killed because he was black? Hell fricking no. Would the fine, upstanding citizens/rioters of Ferguson lead you to believe he was killed because he was black? Yes. And Mike Brown being killed was completely justified! Therefore, this is about race. A white girl was killed by a black guy (speculatively) in which she was actually innocent and didnt deserve to be killed, but if you say one thing about black on white crime, then youre a fricking racist. It's such bullshite. The type of culture that creates Michael Brown's is the same type of culture that creates the animals that did this (speculatively). They are both victims. One is black and gets fricking highways shut down and a city completely torn apart and this story of an innocent teenager being burned alive will be gone in a week at the most because it is black on white (speculatively).

Meh, maybe. But it's the police aspect that fuels the faux-race crap in Ferguson. This wouldn't get the attention of a police homicide regardless of race, and rightfully so. not siding w the Ferguson baiters in any way, just FTR.

Might be a double standard (we really don't know anything yet).
But even if so, that doesn't make the story itself about race. I understand the instinct to call out the double standard, but if this is a jaded psycho boyfriend, applying this to all black people is just as fricked up as people acting like I'm responsible for Mike Brown's death.
