With that said, that flagger was ready to catch him if the harness was not hooked up properly.
No one is catching 200+lbs from overhead.

Looks like they were not high enough and should have had the lane closed. Truck not at fault.

The flagger effed up and the truck driver came through that intersection w/o a care... At least the truck driver could have approached the intersection with a little caution..

nah man, being hit by an 18 wheeler is good for your health.

I can’t wait to show this to my trucker cousin Big Marlon. I’ll ask him if the driver was a professional.

Welp. That truck driver needs to start looking for another line of work.
Great to see the worker was unharmed.

All on our dime.

That accident was on the workers, not the driver.
Unfortunately he will be named in the suit

the safety harness did its job
yup, either it saved his life or saved him from being a vegetable for the rest of his life.

I feel horrible about this but I’ll say it anyway.
Saw a guy at a plant slowly fall off a beam and was dangling upside down from his harness. I laughed for 10 mins straight. He was ok, though.

That video isn't as good as the wide angle on their website. They have three other workers get out of their truck, throw on their hard hats, and just causally stroll over like this must happen all the time.

Unmarked 13’6 or greater.

The electrical work has to be at a certain height if no safety barriers are in place to stop vehicles. Bridges are required to be a certain height for 18 wheelers to clear so without anything to stop traffic, the electrical worker is actually in the wrong here
