Any sort of accident like this in India is bound to take out a lot of people. The population density over there is through the roof.

Would it have been that simple though? I've known people that totaled their vehicles from hitting deer. A fully loaded buffalo might've killed the driver anyways.

I'm willing to bet the buffalo has sacred religious status in India like the cows do.
If the bus driver had not swerved to avoid the buffalo he would of been killed by an angry mob because that buffalo was somebody's grandpa that had reached nirvana.

Sounds like a N.O. Public Service Bus accident report. Eight people on the bus when hit from the back by a moped and 23 people claiming to be passengers transported to the hospital, all with whiplash.
