The obsession with San Francisco on this board has gone too far.

Yes, it’s extremely expensive to live there. Yes, it is a prime example of real estate getting out of control. Yes, there are problems such as homelessness there that need to be improved.

It’s still leaps and bounds better than anything LA has to offer, and you get what you pay for.

Downvote away.

The problem is that they are leaving the high tax state in droves while taking their same logic to other states, spreading the filth.

Pretty amazing considering 117K is a really fricking good lifestyle in MS.

That's baller money here.

I'm 42 and I would retire at 50 off that income.

That's a pretty amazing stat regardless of whether the cretins on the board are obsessed with SF or not.

Not much. San Francisco is the most expensive city, Boston is third. So while SF is worse, it’s not much better here.

This is the thread where all the self-proclaimed economics geniuses blame government policies and forget about supply/demand.

Hell, it isn't much in Houston....relatively speaking. Certainly comfortable enough and not at all low income. But you aren't rolling in it by any means. Its decidedly middle class (as a family).

Not trying to be an OT badass. Just doesn't go that far unless you are very rural.

Please explain how that’s a close minded statement.

And please know I’m genuinely asking because I’m curious what your opinion is. I find these kinds of discussions interesting.

By almost any metric, SF beats any city in Louisiana. Now, if your argument is that some people prefer to not be in a city, I completely understand that.

And you cut off the part of my answer where I acknowledged that if someone doesn’t want to live in a city, it’s not for them and I understand that.
