That made me laugh. It is so true. Friend of mine commutes almost 2.5 hours each way and it is like a 30 mile drive (and that's with carpool since his wife and him commute together)

Not really. San Fran could build 10 Burj Dubais and housing would still be unaffordable. The fact is that it (and many parts of calii) are beautiful, geographically limited, and have amazing weather 24/7. Liberal or conservative, tons of people will want to live there.
