sorry, NPR link

quote:

Analysis of ancient DNA found in Finland has unveiled a surprise a century later – the remains of an early medieval warrior thought to be female may have been nonbinary.
The new findings challenge previous ideas about gender roles and expression and suggest that nonbinary people were valued and respected members of their communities, researchers concluded in their study, published in the peer-reviewed European Journal of Archaeology,
The findings are a reminder that "biology does not directly dictate a person's self-identity," said Ulla Moilanen, the study's lead author and an archaeologist at Finland's University of Turku.

So they really have partial DNA that they extA r a. R the same same dc rapolated and decided it was someone with Kleinfelter syndrome. I don’t know they jump from that to “non-binary” in the way they are using it.

Do any of these people actually study history, the Vikings were notoriously progressive with women in their society. Well documented that when the Romans encountered the Vikings that women had a much larger role, and even led and fought.

This is why I cringe when the typical retards on the left invoke their beloved "science" in an argument.

There's absolutely no evidence of what they claim, so they use their version of the "God of the gaps" technique to say it's true.

Fun fact: The only Viking helmets ever discovered have been plain. The idea of the Viking horned helmets dates back to the 19th century and Wagnerian opera in particular.

. Ya had me till then. Women were held higher in Germanic society but she-women arse kickers they were not. The dudes handled almost all of that. There has been an occasion of a female burial in early Saxon and Viking time of a woman warrior. Or at least a woman buried with a shield and knife. But some shield maiden hero leader there is no history written.

You sound like a science denier. Where do you work so we can get you fired for sexism and anti-non-binary hate speech?
