BATON ROUGE - Police responded to a pair of shootings that left at least three people hurt Monday afternoon, the latest in a rash of violent crimes in the capital city. Both shootings were reported shortly before 3 p.m.. The first happened on St. Katherine Street in a neighborhood off Hollywood Street. The second shooting was reported on N Foster Drive, near Fairfields Avenue. Police said two people were shot on St. Katherine Street, and one person was reported shot on N Foster Drive. The extent of the victims' injuries is unknown at this time. At least three people were shot over the weekend, including two people who died Sunday evening. Another person was shot Saturday and ran for help at a library along Terrace Avenue. Another shooting Friday left four people hurt on Paige street.

I guess these shootings don’t matter. God forbid 10 people were shot at one time though. Then it’s time to bring in the National press.

Did any white people pull the trigger? If not, Baton Rouge leaders don't care. They don't care about black people dying as long as whitey didn't do it.

That’s the scary part. You used to be able to avoid them by staying in your house after 10:00 pm. Now it’s a crap shoot.

I've lived in BR my whole life, and have only traveled two streets on that list.

Failed policies from failed leadership.

600 cops in Baton Rouge and I can count on one hand the number of them that believe they have the support of leadership to fight crime.

BREC needs to build a shooting range. 20% is poor shooting.
