Oh come on now. Those are big ole runway underpasses. It's not even called a tunnel.

Had a king air (med ambulance) go down here a few months ago. Really weird, no word has come out at the probably cause.

Not a failed engine. Pilot acted as calm as could be. Turned on course, climbed, acted if nothing was wrong. It was literally a 70ish degree turn five feet off the ground. Landed safely at destination

I guess I shouldn’t say the NEVER break but almost every emergency procedure in the King Air is an extremely benign event with the exception of an engine loss or some sort of power failure at takeoff. And the King Air has the most reliable turboprop engine on the planet. You’d probably be hard pressed to find more than 10 engine failures at takeoff with a PT-6 engine. And there are tens of thousands of them out there flying everyday.

Sounds like he had his rudder trim set at full deflection and didn’t check it before takeoff. I’m just spitballing though.

I’m not saying they’re not reliable because it’s probably one of the best but I think one crashed in Hawaii a couple days ago and one out west last year? Don’t remember the causes I just remember seeing the daily safety report.
It still amazing to me that some of the 9’s are like half a century old

Rare to hear this about a king air, thinking it’s most likely pilot error.

The route to land flies over me for the airport. I don’t know how I didn’t hear the explosion. Addison airport is like a mile away ;(

Seems like there was another civil aviation crash like this where the plane banked into the hangar not too long back. There was also a small commercial prop plane where it went up and came right back down.

This s was on approach, in about 500 feet of water. Totally destroyed the plane, couldn't recover the bodies.

I’m going to say he took off below blue line, lost one, and rolled.

Judge is likely right. Hot day, full load, engine failed at precisely the wrong moment and it got out from under him. It can happen to the best of us. Flying is unforgiving if the odds roll up against you. God bless them.

I am an expert and I’m here to tell you that King Airs don’t break.

Is the King Air that crashed the same thing as a C-12?
