Sleet or freezing rain? I went outside and it didn’t feel like pellets of sleet.

My son lives on campus at ULM and they lost power very early today. They contacted parents via social media saying food and heat were being provided to students.

We talked to our kid and he said the place on campus they said to go was locked up when he tried to go. They apparently shut it down at 6 pm and locked the doors.

All the Mom's on Facebook are throwing a fit.

Told him to bundle up and eat the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches we made him go buy yesterday. He'll survive. May transfer to LSU next semester though. :)

They're in South Highlands and both still have power as of a half hour ago.

Just started to get ice here in South Austin. It's not freezing rain which is great, you can hear it bouncing on impact.

As of 830 my folks in Shreve island still had power. Y'all be safe up there.

I just went fishing in Lake Charles. 39 and on/off rain.

It's an estimate but orange is sleet; purple is freezing rain.

Yall both described my Grandparent’s house. We froze in the winter and burned up in the summer. In the summer my grandparents wouldn’t run the window units at night bc they couldn’t hear if anyone was breaking in. Please, the only thing breaking into that house was a rabid squirrel.

I have the best memories in that house.

That aside, sitting here in Jackson with light rain above freezing. Will wake up to freezing rain.
I don’t have much faith in Jackson water, so I’m sure Ill be bailing water from the tub to flush toilets.
