Most model runs have had a northward shift with warmer temps since mid day yesterday. Seems pretty consistent.

That's a pretty crazy shift. I'm not sure I'm sold on it yet but hopefully the trend continues.

If this trend keeps it north of us, will our lows for Monday and Tuesday creep higher from the lower 20s?

My farm is in north Sumter in Alabama. About 25 minutes from Macon. Hit me up some time.

I will say, the models don’t always handle the shallow cold air well. Something to keep in mind for people in the areas that now look like they’re going to get less ice and more plain old rain. I’m not wishing for ice at all when I say this, just saying that the models aren’t perfect and can miss.

Mike Morgan (head met at KFOR/OKC) pushed his chips all in for snowmeggedon.

Appreciate all the updates in this thread.
I'll never forget when the power grid failed in Texas in 2021. That was tough.
For the sake of the elderly, domesticated animals, vegetation, and wildlife I hope this isn't as bad as it's being forecasted to be.

Mets are exercising all their pent up sensationalist bullshite they didn't get to use in the last hurricane season.

That guy seems a bit extreme. There have been states like Virginia and WV that have seen 2-3 inches of ice in the 90's and 2003 and power was out for a few days but nothing too catastrophic like he makes it sound. Of course this could be more widespread and hit bigger cities.

Let’s hope he’s just dramatic. We were still living in the Memphis area for the early 2022 ice storm. I think we only got maybe an inch if memory serves. Not everyone lost power, but it was widespread outages and trees blocking most every road. No power for 6 days. I’ve never been so cold in my life.

Reed getting in on the action now
OVER A FOOT OF SNOW POSSIBLE IN OKLAHOMA?!
The GFS model often comes in a bit hot with snowfall totals with a storm system like this, but it does depict attainable ceilings for snow events. This run shows a blob of 12-16” from central Oklahoma into Arkansas, including Oklahoma City to Little Rock! This would be one of the top snowfalls ever for OKC if it verifies.
I have no choice but to chase this snow in my own backyard

Right now I’m just hoping it doesn’t keep pushing that ice further north. On some of the newer runs it’s just below us. frick.

I would be o.k. with the 10 inches of snow in Bentonville but it looks like my folks in Central Arkansas are going to get wholloped.
