The weather radar is not very good for snow. Apparently each NWS choses it's own gain, so there are lots of straight lines with clear on one side and snow on the other. Density tied to snow fall. Your guess is welcome.

It's still snowing here even after multiple "snow ending in 55 minutes" "in 30 minutes" " this afternoon".

And the local visibility reports are crap. We can see three miles, but we/me know my distances and 0.2 miles is the most we've seen all day.

A friend was trying to fly to a funeral in Florida today. She left home at 2a.m. and got to the airport safely. Got on the plane. Sat on the plane for two hours, deplaned, and they closed the airport. Got home early this afternoon. Missed the funeral of course.
Shouldn't the airports have some idea that planes iced down don't fly?

Metro Nashville police have arrested 18-year-old Camron Franklin, who is accused of targeting electric service line workers’ vehicles as they worked to restore power after historic ice storm.

Ok, so that guy gets the death penalty. Speedy trial... and if guilty, straight to the electric chair.

Stay warm out there. It’s nasty cold. Curiosity question : are yall 100% donation based?

Yes. We are a 501 (c) (3). Everything donated goes towards trip expenses. We have no paid employees.

We really appreciate everyone’s support.

Sorry you're going through that, cad. Like you, the knowledge it could be worse kept me going. I thought WilCo was pretty good, but i know there are some hollers out your way that don't see much sun or municipal love.

Just wok up from a liquor induced stupper and thought it would be a good idea to go get an ice cream or something......walked out side and decided that's a bad idea.

In west St Tammany and thinking I may need to move farther south. Think maybe Trump should take over Cuba.

Our snow that we received starting last Saturday may finally melt in the next few days. It gets into the low 40's today and tomorrow into the mid 50's. Some places in my yard that gets no sun the snow may stay for a while being the lows at night will still be below freezing. It is currently 16 degrees.

Still have some spots of 4-5 inches of snow left in the yard here in central Arkansas. Side streets still have long stretches of solid white ice, schools are out again tomorrow to make it over 1 week. I can't remember a time in my 38 years that had snow/ice hanging around this long in the south. Just nasty stuff now, hard as a rock and slick ice from all the melting and refreezing.

It took a 6' rock bar and shop hammer to break it up in my driveway... yesterday
